ELECTROLAB'S Disintegration Tester is used for testing the disintegration time of the tablets, capsules and other solid dosage forms. The ED – 2L is designed to meet the specification of USP, DAB and EUR Pharmacopoeia.

ED-2L offers easy loading of baskets with swivel free movement through a simple yet unique Snap-Click mechanism for attaching and removal of baskets. A special cam-drive ensures jerk-free movement.

The programmable Timer can be set from seconds to minutes and from minutes to hours, which ensures the long and the short duration test can be carried out on a same machine. At the end of the test the baskets are parked automatically at the top position giving an alarm. Illumination is provided at the base of the instrument for the better visibility of the disintegration process of the test samples. The temperature can be programmed from 20⁰C to 39.9⁰C and can be controlled within 0.3⁰C. The external probe is provided to monitor and validate the bath or beaker temperature.
