FR & FRV Tablet Friability Testers

Friability testing is an accepted standard throughout the pharmaceutical industry for determining the resistance of uncoated tablets to the abrasion and shock experienced in manufacturing, packaging and shipping operations. The models of the FR & FRV are simple to operate and fully comply with the specifications as laid down in EP, Chapter 2.9.7 and USP Chapter <1216>. The standard FR series operates at a constant speed of 25 rpm. It is available in two variants, that is to say, with either one (FR 1000) or two test drums (FR 2000). Duration of the test can be selected:

• Revolutions of the drum
• Time
